Gina Weathersby

Executive Director, Communities In Schools of Coweta County

Gina Weathersby, Executive Director of CIS of Coweta, has over 25 years of  experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors and served for over 18 years in executive positions with several Coweta-based businesses.

Gina has experience in managing budgets, securing corporate donations and acquiring grants for non-profit organizations. She has successfully developed and implemented plans for strategic business development, corporate giving, board and volunteer development, and marketing and public relations.

She also has experience in programs serving foster children and at-risk youth. She helped organize and served as Executive Director of the Keith Brooking Children’s Foundation, a program for underprivileged local school children begun by Coweta native Keith Brooking.

Brooking was a football standout at East Coweta High and Georgia Tech and had a successful career in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys.

As head of Communities In Schools of Coweta, Weathersby will coordinate community-based student assistance efforts with existing programs offered by Coweta County schools.

“Communities In Schools of Coweta has a track record of helping at-risk youth achieve success and I am proud to be working with such an outstanding organization.”
